Desafíos en la Formación Universitaria vinculada al Desarrollo Local

Abstract

This article highlights the importance of knowledge and human capital for the economic development and the values and the social capital for the local development. It also suggests some roles and challenges for the University in the context of local development referring to the economy and the society. Initially this paper discusses the link between knowledge and human capital with the economic development. Secondly concerns the influence of the University on economic growth, the quality and the offer of the education, its matches with the labour market and other aspects of the territories.
