Abstract: This project was developed in the city of General Roca, Río Negro province, with the objective of proposing a design for a new Intermodal Bus Terminal. The initiative stems from an analysis of the existing terminal, whose location in the heart of the city generates numerous problems, compromising the efficiency of public transportation and affecting long-distance and intercity buses connecting the cities of the valley most significantly. The problem arises when these vehicles enter the city center to access the current terminal, causing delays and operational difficulties that impact mobility and the efficient development of public transportation. This project aims to facilitate regional connectivity, optimize travel times, and reduce congestion in the city center. The proposal is based on the design and planning of a new building in a strategically selected location, determined through a comprehensive urban analysis. This study considers infrastructural aspects, understanding the city's axes, urban growth trends, road connections, and the site's viability in order to guarantee an effective solution to the current problems. The new terminal will seek to optimize transportation operations, ensuring accessibility and efficiency in travel.

Abstract: This project stems from an understanding of the rapid and uncontrolled growth of the town of General Fernández Oro, which has resulted in a fragmented city and a significant decrease in productive land due to the intervention of the real estate and hydrocarbon sectors. This has jeopardized the livelihoods of thousands of people, as well as the cultural identity of the valley. In response to this problem, this project proposes an Institute for Agricultural Updating and Higher Education, providing support for new methods and technologies implemented in fruit farming practices, as well as addressing the growing demand for territorial expansion. It aims to satisfy the need for training and knowledge updates, and to foster sociocultural integration through the creation of a new neighborhood that extends the urban fabric while incorporating rural characteristics with numerous public spaces. This will promote sociocultural exchange through diverse community spaces and put an end to the town's irregular growth.

Abstract: The project, located in a large urban void on the plateau, aims to provide educational and sports infrastructure, giving identity to this area far removed from urban infrastructure. It includes the design of three levels of education—preschool, primary, and secondary—with sports as the central focus. Each level will have its own independent space within the site, while sports will serve as a common ground for all three. The goal is to create a comprehensive educational center in Centenario encompassing early childhood, primary, and secondary education, with a specific emphasis on implementing sports as a fundamental pillar for the physical, emotional, and social development of children and adolescents.

Abstract: General Roca is a city located in the heart of the Upper Valley of Río Negro, surrounded by orchards that line the valley floor. The fruit from this area is highly sought after, not only in the national market but also because a large portion of the production is exported. Fruit growing is the region's main economic activity. Within this context, the city's new passenger terminal will be developed. Building upon the existing airport infrastructure, the proposal includes a new building to serve as a commercial flight terminal and a shopping center that, in addition to being an attractive destination, will provide economic support for the airport's operation. This project will benefit not only the city of General Roca but the entire middle Upper Valley, allowing for an increase in the current flight flow and improved airport service and operations. The goal is to improve air connectivity throughout the Upper and Middle Valleys of Río Negro. To achieve this, the city's existing airstrip must be equipped with a building that, in addition to housing the necessary services and controls for commercial passenger traffic, will serve as a gateway to the city. Its architecture will reflect the region's distinctive characteristics, particularly those related to the plateau and its natural surroundings. Furthermore, a shopping center and gastronomic hub will offer an attractive destination not only for visitors but also for residents of the valley. The project will facilitate easy access to General Roca for many people, potentially serving as a catalyst for promoting both nature-based and production-related tourism activities that will boost the local and regional economy. From an urban planning perspective, it will increase property values in the area, improving the quality of life for residents and helping to prevent the concerning uneven and precarious growth of housing along the northern slope.

Abstract: The project proposes a rethinking of residential alternative care facilities for children and adolescents in the country, conceiving them not only as a temporary space but as a permanent one, a situation that reflects the reality that most children's stays can last for years.
Seeking to address the specific needs of each child, the facility is also designed to house adolescents experiencing pregnancy or early motherhood, promoting their autonomy along with a community life based on support and cooperation.
From an architectural perspective, understanding that the family environment is the ideal setting for the development of children and adolescents, the design seeks to replicate the scale of privacy found in a single-family home through private spaces (ME), spaces shared with a smaller group (MY CELL), and spaces shared with the household (MY COMMUNITY).

The building aims to foster holistic development, ensuring that children and adolescents are in the best possible situation upon leaving the facility. The objective is to create a residential facility in the city of Neuquén that provides housing for children and adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18 without parental care, with spaces that promote comprehensive child development.

Abstract: The objective of this final project is to design and plan a key urban element for the town of Chichinales: the new Municipal Administrative Building. This building will integrate public management functions with formal and informal educational, cultural, social, and sporting programs, offering an institutional landmark for the community. During the 20th century, the town experienced institutional, social, and economic consolidation. It developed productive and community structures that included planned irrigation areas, farms, cold storage facilities, wineries, packing sheds, and sawmills. However, despite this organic growth, urban expansion left some areas and buildings incomplete or pending development. Such is the case of the municipal building, a long-standing debt to the community: at the time of the town's founding, the lot designated for this purpose existed within the town's central core—next to the plaza, the church, the hospital, the fire station, and the social club—but it was the only one that never materialized. The goal is to concentrate diverse activities, currently scattered, into a single physical space, giving identity and a central focus to the urban fabric, while simultaneously strengthening the local economic and productive profile and supporting the development of new economic sectors.

Abstract: The project for a fly-fishing lodge at the source of the Limay River, on the Neuquén province side, represents for me the opportunity to merge two great passions that have shaped my life: the doing, creating, and designing that architecture has given me, and the recreation and entertainment that fly fishing provides. The latter is a legacy passed down by my father, with whom I shared countless moments on the waters of the Limay River, a place that became our point of learning and connection, a tradition I now carry on with my son.

This project aims to design a fly-fishing lodge in an area of singular scenic beauty, located on the border between the provinces of Neuquén and Río Negro.

Abstract: This project takes place in the city of General Roca, founded in 1879, one of the cities that make up the Upper Valley of Río Negro. From its origins, it was conceived as part of a network of cities
intended to promote the region's fruit production and trade, which profoundly shaped its identity.
Today, it still retains its productive essence, with an economy based on irrigated fruit farming and the industries, services, and programs that derive from it. The city has also incorporated spaces dedicated to education, culture, and tourism, forming a diverse and constantly evolving cultural fabric. Considering the growth of the urban area and the city's population increase over the last ten years, primarily in the northern part of the city, it was identified that the supporting infrastructure has not kept pace with this growth, including public spaces and cultural facilities. The aim of this project is to create an architectural facility for a cultural center in an area of the city experiencing heterogeneous urban growth. This center will promote social cohesion and foster a sense of place through programs focused on production, recreation, and dissemination.
It seeks to rethink urban growth from a democratic and inclusive perspective, creating a facility that becomes an urban landmark and consolidates symbolic value, permanence, and civic engagement.

Abstract: This final degree project aims to address the challenges faced by various areas of the city of General Roca, particularly its outskirts. These areas are characterized by irregular urban layouts, uncontrolled urban development, limited public facilities, and high levels of social stigmatization.

This highlights the need to rethink the role of sports facilities within the neighborhood and the city, leading to the central question guiding the project: how can architecture, through the design of sports and educational infrastructure, transform a fragmented and underutilized site into a space of neighborhood cohesion and social inclusion?
This Integrated Sports Center project seeks to reverse this situation through an architectural intervention that reinforces the existing sports infrastructure, incorporating spaces for educational, recreational, and training support. Furthermore, it aims to open the site to the city and encourage community ownership, creating pathways and meeting areas that promote integration among different neighborhoods. The ultimate goal is for sport to once again function as an engine of social cohesion, inclusion, and community building.

Abstract: This project proposes the design of a Comprehensive Cultural and Health Center in the city of Centenario, designed to meet the specific needs of the local community and foster social well-being through the integration of health services and cultural activities (sports and arts). This project aims not only to address the high demand for public services in this newly urbanized area but also to establish a new central hub capable of guiding the city's future growth. The center is conceived as an inclusive and flexible space that will host cultural, recreational, and primary healthcare activities for the residents. One of the key aspects of the project is its location on a topographical edge between two plateaus, where the terrain has a stepped morphology. This topography is used as a design resource, allowing the building to be integrated with the natural landscape. This integration with the landscape allows for the development of a linear park that follows the slopes of the land, fostering connection between the different levels, generating public spaces for gathering, and enhancing the integration with the natural environment. The main objective of this project is to create an urban facility that integrates two areas—health and culture—into a single space that promotes social integration, community well-being, and the strengthening of the city's infrastructure. It is also envisioned as a space open to the entire city, enhancing urban life and the development of cultural activities in the region.

Abstract: In recent years, the city of Villa Regina, in the heart of the Río Negro Valley, has experienced sustained growth in both its urban development and its academic offerings. New institutions, degree programs, and educational programs have emerged in response to the demand from a young population seeking opportunities for advancement without leaving their region. However, this educational progress has not been accompanied by adequate infrastructure to support intensive study sessions, spaces for interdisciplinary collaboration, or environments that foster the holistic development of students. Abstract: The city of Cipolletti originated as a fruit-producing and exporting center, successfully establishing itself in the international market.

However, technological advancements that transformed agricultural production methods, along with changes in economic policies and the discovery of Vaca Muerta—a key factor driving the region's economic development around hydrocarbon exploitation—have transformed Cipolletti into an attractive real estate destination. It draws oil industry executives seeking to live near the opportunities and services of Neuquén, but with the convenience and tranquility of a smaller city. The lack of planning in the face of this rapid growth has resulted in an unequal, heterogeneous, and dependent city, whose economic activity is centered on providing services to the regional capital.
However, in a constantly growing city like Cipolletti, there is an opportunity to develop an economic model focused on cultural production and the promotion of knowledge, linked to technological advancements and industry. In this way, spaces for cultural production become important as generators of culture itself, understanding culture as the symbolic universe of a group, contained in its consciousness, its communication, and its objects or productions. The proposal focuses on a new space for cultural production in the northeast of the city of Cipolletti, designed to host cultural and recreational activities and promote non-formal education.

Autor(es): Mendinueta Morales, Franco Daniel
Abstract: Health is one of the fundamental pillars of urban life and an essential right recognized in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This right encompasses access to healthcare, the promotion of healthy environments, and the guarantee of conditions that foster the overall well-being of the population. In Argentina, the healthcare system is organized into three subsystems: public, social security (or similar), and private. It is a mixed, decentralized model with universal access, although there are marked differences in the quality of care and the availability of resources. The public system, financed primarily with tax revenue, includes hospitals and health centers managed at the national, provincial, and municipal levels, providing care to the entire population, especially those without health insurance.

In this context, the overall objective of this project is to create a hospital space dedicated to the comprehensive health of the population of Villa Regina and its surrounding areas. The proposal seeks not only to improve patient care but also to optimize the working conditions of healthcare personnel, recognizing that their well-being directly impacts the quality of service. Therefore, the design proposes a more welcoming and functional hospital environment that promotes both patient recovery and the performance of the healthcare team.

Abstract: Architecture, like music, is this coexistence and indivisibility between the tangible material and the subjective and perceptual. It is in the conscious interweaving of both worlds that the project takes on a real and profound meaning, giving meaning to the perceptual experience of space, thus elevating the project to a constructed idea.
This sacrosanct relationship between architecture and fine arts, as Alvar Aalto called it, is the focus of various discussions, but it is undoubtedly a link between architecture and music.
This project intends to create ties between architecture and music, giving it a home and habitation, becoming its home in this city. The objective of the project is to create a center completely dedicated to music, offering spaces for the different stages of formation and development of this art in the city of Neuquén. As a home of music, it is where it is developed, so the building relates to and complements this activity from its teaching and learning, through its collective and individual preparation, and culminating in its presentation on stage.

Abstract: Founded at the end of the 19th century, General Roca owes its name to former Argentine president Julio Argentino Roca. Its growth was closely linked to the development of agriculture, thanks to the implementation of irrigation systems that transformed the area into a fertile region producing fruits and vegetables. Today General Roca is a dynamic and cosmopolitan city that combines tradition with modernity. It combines deep-rooted traditions with influences from various parts of the world. Its rich history, marked by immigration and agricultural development, is reflected in a varied cultural heritage. The city has an active arts scene, with spaces dedicated to music, theater, dance and visual arts. In addition, it celebrates various festivities throughout the year, which merge local traditions with celebrations of Latin American origin. Gastronomy is also a reflection of this diversity. In short, General Roca is a city with its own cultural identity, constantly evolving and open to new artistic expressions. The Culture Factory aims to revitalize areas of the city that have lost prominence, turning them into epicenters of cultural activity. Through a varied and quality programming, it seeks to promote General Roca as a regional cultural destination, strengthening the sense of belonging of its inhabitants and promoting educational and social development.

Abstract: The city of Chos Malal, located in the North of the province of Neuquén, Argentina, faces significant challenges in terms of accessibility and quality of higher education. Despite being a central node for educational activities in the region, the existing infrastructure is not sufficient to meet the growing demand of students. This deficit not only affects formal education, but also the availability of trade workshops and other forms of non-formal and informal education. The region depends largely on productive activities, especially agriculture and goats. However, the lack of education and training limits the potential for socioeconomic development of the inhabitants. In this context, the need arises for a comprehensive education center that not only addresses educational deficiencies, but also promotes economic development through innovation and training. This project proposes the creation of a Comprehensive Education Center in the city of Chos Malal, which covers both formal, non-formal and informal education, as well as promoting economic and social development by creating new opportunities for the population.
