Abstract: Nahuel Huapi National Park (NHNP) is a refuge for nature and culture. It is the largest and oldest national park in Argentina's protected areas system. Its main objectives are the conservation of a representative sample of the Andean-North Patagonian ecosystems, high-altitude hydrological basins, and archaeological sites, the promotion of research, and the provision of facilities for environmental education and recreation in contact with nature. In this sense, environmental education plays a leading role, carrying out actions to protect the environment and encouraging those who inhabit, live in, or visit the protected area to adopt an attitude of respect for their natural surroundings. In turn, environmental education must strategically contribute to mitigating the key problems presented by the environmental crisis and understands that protected areas, as spaces for nature conservation and cultural development, enhance the development of individuals and communities. The NHNP designs various communication and education strategies through the Environmental Education Division, holding talks at various educational institutions in the protected area. Another strategy developed is the Communication Program, which, among other tools, publishes the newspaper Ecos del Parque. This case study investigated the use of the newspaper Ecos del Parque as a communication tool for environmental education in the educational setting. Four focus groups were formed, comprised of first-year secondary school students, at three institutions located in San Carlos de Bariloche. The 40 students who participated had previously received a copy of the 16th edition of the newspaper to be used as part of a classroom activity. Through the focus groups, it was learned that the most frequently used sections were the editorial, the central map, and the Ecos Chicos section. Its use met the students' need for information, which was found without major difficulties, as all of them were able to complete the guide or report requested by the teacher. This case study obtained further information about the relationship between the three educational institutions and the newspaper Ecos del Parque. New aspects were revealed, new meanings were found, where the perspective between the Formal and Non-Formal spheres of education share a space and together reveal an aspect of reality that opens the way to new ways of working.

Título: Industria Satelital en la Argentina. Análisis del caso de Satellogic (2010-2023).
Autor(es): Caldo, Juan Pablo
Abstract: Currently, there are very few countries in the world that dominate the aerospace industry in general, and the satellite industry in particular. This number is even more limited if we consider only peripheral or semi-peripheral countries. Among the latter is Argentina, a country with structural problems: high levels of poverty, unemployment and underemployment, informal employment, and a disconnect between the productive sector and the scientific and technological complex, among others. However, it is also a country with several decades of development in knowledge-intensive areas, such as the satellite sector. While historically, the national government, through its public institutions (through the National Commission for Space Research, the National Commission for Space Activities, and the companies Investigaciones Aplicadas Sociedad del Estado and finally Argentina Satelital Sociedad Anónima), there have been initiatives outside these major players.
Although with less visibility, national universities, schools, hobbyist groups, and, in recent decades, entrepreneurs have also carried out some projects in outer space. This research focused on the trajectory of a company, Satellogic, which became a key player in the new paradigm that emerged in the sector: New Space. This allowed us not only to reconstruct the history of an Argentine company in the early years of the 21st century, but also to question some established parameters in this industrial sector. It also facilitated the drawing of conclusions about the behavior of some entrepreneurs, as well as the prevailing logic of the current phase of capitalism in Argentina.

Abstract: The theater at school is an auspicious environment for the students overall development. The importance of this dedicated time lies in that student’s emotional education is possible through it, including development of communicative and social skills. To provide it opens doors to the educational innovation so necessary in current times: innovating by offering quality spaces, where the student can discover himself and his schoolfellows.

Abstract: Museums are more than a physical structure or traditional exhibition venues; they are meeting places for discovering the beauty of knowledge or the horrors of humanity, such as memorial or Holocaust museums. Today's museums exhibit ideas and concepts, not just objects (Guisasola and Morentin, 2007). In this sense, this integrative final project (hereinafter TFI) implemented a museological script in the San Francisco de Castro Church, a site declared a national monument and World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Therefore, it was developed in a space of cultural importance, defined as a place of outstanding universal value that belongs to the common heritage of humanity (UNESCO, 1972). Furthermore, the Franciscan order, which owns this building, has been present on the island of Chiloé for more than 450 years, which also entails four centuries of history and representation. This TFI report describes the museological script project carried out over two weeks at the San Francisco de Castro Church, where the various archaeological and historical artifacts found in this religious space were valued and ideas and concepts explained.
However, it was through professional practice that it became clear that there are few artifacts in the church and parish that reflect the more than four centuries of Franciscan presence in Chiloé and Nahuel Huapi. A large part of the archaeological resources were destroyed by the various natural disasters and fires that affected the church, leading to its reconstruction on several occasions. Other artifacts are distributed throughout various museums throughout the country.

Título: Análisis de incentivos tributarios a la I+D: el caso de Argentina frente a otros países de la región.

Abstract: Interest in the evaluation of science, technology, and innovation programs, institutions, and public policies has been growing since the advent of democracy in Argentina in 1983. This is primarily due to concern about the evaluation procedures used in the allocation of funds by public agencies and the growing demand from society and the political system to evaluate the effects of scientific and technological policies and programs. In Argentina, as Codner et al. (2015) note, historically, the majority of the financial effort allocated to research, both basic and applied, and technological development has been carried out by the public sector.
As Del Bello (2014) notes, Law 23,877 for the Promotion and Development of Technological Innovation was enacted in 1990, while the Argentine Technology Fund (FONTAR) was established in 1994, and the National Agency for Scientific and Technological Promotion was created in 1996. These have been the main milestones or starting points in the institutional transformation of public policy to promote innovation and technological development. The same author then indicates that since 2005, resources supporting innovation have expanded, while promotional instruments have diversified, specifically since 2007, continuing this cycle of consolidation and deepening to the present. The main promotional instruments used have been, on the one hand, the granting of credit financing lines, on the other, tax credit certificates, and, finally, non-refundable contributions known as ANRs. All of this has been achieved through different fund variants, such as the aforementioned FONTAR, but which have expanded sectorally in recent years.
Beyond the potential contributions of this type of program, it is important to analyze other tax benefits that can be granted in Argentina and that are already being applied in other countries, which is the subject of this paper. For example, many developed countries have implemented technology policies aimed at promoting private investment in R&D, where one of the most widely used instruments is the application of tax incentives.
It is also important to note that, internationally, there is a constant search for new policy instruments and the review and improvement of those currently in use, given the accelerated process of change driven by the so-called "knowledge society or economy." Therefore, it is useful to understand the "state of the art" in taxation for innovation, in order to have new tools that would be potentially useful for government innovation policy, particularly for the SME sector, a sector that frequently faces serious difficulties regarding operational financing and access to credit for larger investments.
Within this framework, the general objective of this paper is to contribute to the evaluation of public policy instruments supporting technological innovation for SMEs and businesses in general in our country, based on an analysis of the tax benefits provided in our national legislation and, in some way, comparing them with other Latin American countries. In other words, this paper aims to analyze the trajectories of tax benefit policies supporting technological innovation in SMEs in a selected group of Latin American countries, specifically Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Uruguay.

Título: Cuerpo, experiencia y performance actoral como vías de conocimiento.
Autor(es): Dreidemie, Mónica
Abstract: The research presented here aims to legitimize the value of practice in the performing arts as a means of knowledge. To this end, it draws on theoretical foundations from various disciplinary fields that concur in identifying the body, experience, and performance practice as paths to experiential, enactive, and situated knowledge—that is, knowledge acquired in relationship, in a framework.
The concern that motivated this research is strongly linked to the author's professional experience as an actress and dancer. Taking these practices as a starting point was a methodological decision.
From a perspective of contemporary theater, which embraces methodological procedures of actor-driven dramaturgy, one can consider acting as a form of knowledge. We are speaking of a theater where the actor's corporeality is their very identity, where the actor identifies themselves in the materiality and phenomenon of the stage, and where the sense of truth lies in their existence itself and in the execution of the act, not in previously conceived ideas. We are talking about a theater situated at the level of experience and event, which embraces improvisation as a working methodology for an actor who positions himself as a creator, not a performer. In this theater, the action performed by the actor/actress is thought. Based on this premise, it could be said that cognition is the process of knowledge in action. Acting is doing, acting is thinking, and acting is knowing in relation to others within a system that constitutes itself and refers to itself, that becomes and transforms, that performs.

Título: INFLUENCIA DE LOS ORGANISMOS INTERNACIONALES EN LAS POLÍTICAS DE CIENCIA Y TECNOLOGÍA EN ARGENTINA. EL CASO DEL BANCO INTERAMERICANO DE DESARROLLO ENTRE 1979-1999
Autor(es): Montesino, Gastón Federico
Abstract: The objective of this thesis is to address the role of international organizations in shaping Argentina's science and technology (S&T) policies between 1979 and 1999, focusing on the actions of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) during this period. The research is guided by the following question: How did the Inter-American Development Bank influence the configuration of Argentina's science and technology policies through the design and implementation of the loans granted to the country between 1979 and 1999?

To this end, the thesis analyzes four loans provided by the IDB to finance various S&T programs: the Global Science and Technology Program (IDB-1) of 1979; the Scientific Research and Technology Program (IDB-2), implemented from 1988; and the Technological Modernization Programs (PMT) 1 and 2, launched in 1994 and 1999, respectively. These loans were selected because, having been designed and implemented in different political, economic, and social contexts, they reflect changes in the goals and approaches of S&T policies in Argentina, mainly within the Secretariat of Science and Technology (SECYT), responsible for policy design and planning, and the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) and the National Agency for the Promotion of Science and Technology (ANPCYT), the main beneficiaries of these programs.

This thesis examines the changes in S&T public policy in Argentina, focusing on SECYT, CONICET, and ANPCYT, and the impact of the programs funded by the IDB. It emphasizes the design and implementation of S&T programs carried out through the loans received by Argentina from the IDB between 1979 and 1999. The analysis is enriched by considering different approaches to S&T promotion (supply-driven linear, demand-driven linear, and systemic models) and the types of influence and instruments that international organizations use to shape national policies. In this sense, attention is paid to how these approaches—mainly promoted by international organizations—affect the configuration of Argentina's S&T policies. Thus, the IDB, as one of the main sources of funding for S&T programs, plays a significant role in driving these changes.

The methodology is primarily qualitative, involving the analysis of primary and secondary documents as well as in-depth interviews with officials from Argentina’s S&T institutions.

The main conclusions reveal that the IDB, through the loans and technical assistance provided during the studied period, influenced the institutional changes within SECYT, CONICET, and ANPCYT. Moreover, the programs financed by the IDB loans reflect, in their goals and components, a transition between different approaches to S&T promotion. These transitions were also intertwined with the various policy agendas within the administrations of SECYT, CONICET, and ANPCYT.

Abstract: This work is based on an anthropological explanation to justify the change of surname in Mapuzugun (Mapuche language) in a Mapuche family. For this, it focuses on the following points of expertise: a) Emphasize the process of family and collective memories in connection with historical contexts, at least since the national State imposed the destructuring of the Mapuche-Tehuelche People in the 19th century. b) Account for the importance of lineages, familiarization processes and links with the territory in renaming processes. The act of naming has a load of political, spiritual and ideological connotations for the Mapuche-Tehuelche people. c) Explain the importance that the relationship of surnames with the forces of the territories and with the members of this family has. the Mapuzugun language and the emphasis on recovering the latter in the processes of identity and subjectivation.

Autor(es): Cocco, Andrea Romina
Abstract: On December 30, 2011, Provincial Law No. 3981/2005 was repealed, which prohibited the use of cyanide or mercury in the territory of the province of Río Negro in mining activity. Along with this repeal, Law No. 4738/2011 was passed, establishing new methodologies for the extraction of minerals in the provincial territory and the creation of the Mining Environmental Assessment Council was established.
These modifications in the legislative framework of the province were highly rejected by civil organizations and citizens of the province, causing protests and peaceful marches through different cities of Río Negro, with San Carlos de Bariloche being the epicenter of the mobilizations.
From these events a clash arises between the province and part of the residents, regarding the planning and use of the region's natural resources, causing a case of environmental controversy.
This work seeks to interpret, through theoretical review, the concepts of environmental justice, controversies and public communication within the framework of the previously mentioned events. Likewise, it is invited to reflect on the role of the communicator and his participation in the dynamics of knowledge circulation during public discussion processes on issues related to science and technology in the framework of an environmental controversy.

Autor(es): Soldati, Analía Leticia
Abstract: The Argentine RA-6 nuclear reactor, located in the Atomic Center of the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, was inaugurated on October 26, 1982. The vision behind this project was to satisfy the needs of the Nuclear Engineering career at the Balseiro Institute. and contribute to the Argentine development of this type of reactors and associated technologies. For this reason, a flexible design concept was thought up and a dynamic technology management policy was promoted throughout this time. So much so, that the RA-6 was modified on several occasions during its more than 35 years of service, accompanying certain research and development needs of different groups.
A crucial question that this thesis tries to answer is whether the trajectory of these changes was only a consequence of the general technological state of the art, or if, on the contrary, there is a social component that influenced them in one way or another.

Autor(es): Lázaro, María Ester
Abstract: Hantaviruses are viruses with a worldwide distribution that are maintained in nature by infecting rodents, which constitute their natural reservoirs. Infection in humans manifests as two entities: Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome (FHSR) caused by the Old World virus and Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS).
The first cases of HPS in the southern Andean region were identified in 1995 (Lázaro and Resa, 1997; Lázaro et. Al. 2000). The causative agent turned out to be a Nobel hantavirus called Andes virus (ANDV) and it is, to date, the only genotype characterized in the region (López et. Al. 1996; Padula et. Al. 2000).
In 1996 there was an outbreak of HPS originating in El Bolsón that affected family groups and health workers. Epidemiological and molecular studies confirmed person-to-person transmission of the Andes virus that caused the outbreak, a fact that had never been observed before for other hantaviruses in the world.

Abstract: The purpose of this thesis are the activities associated with the design and manufacture of helicopters, as well as the management of the knowledge generated and its evolution over time in a company taken as a case study. The practices and roles played by each of the actors within the company are also significant aspects to analyze the case. The technical analysis of all helicopters developed by the company Cicaré S.A. has been used. that in particular has not had records of activities or estate statements over time. The interviews with people related to the current firm and its history have been fundamentally.
Cicaré S.A. It is an Argentine aeronautical company dedicated to the development and manufacture of helicopters with international recognition. It is considered a benchmark in the industry for innovations that it has developed on this type of aircraft, used today worldwide. The first vertical flight in South America, the development of one of the first ultralight helicopters and a real controlled flight simulator, are some of the innovations that have highlighted the firm.

Título: La divulgación científica en la Escuela Media y el Profesorado de Río Negro: un libro de Ciencias de la Tierra como recurso didáctico
Autor(es): Salgado, Leonardo
Abstract: This professional thesis presents a book of science communication, with which it is intended to contribute to the science communication and the teaching-learning process of significant knowledge in the area of Earth Sciences, especially geology and paleontology. The book is oriented to students and teachers of the last years of the secondary schools of the Rio Negro province, particularly the Escuela Secundaria Rio Negro (ESRN), implemented between 2017 and 2018, and the professorship in Biology. It was written in a fictional narrative style and addresses different geoscientific themes included in the curriculum design of the ESRN, with a marked local and regional character. In addition to the book itself, a section is presented that includes a part with guidance for the elaboration of a Didactic Unit for the teaching of a scientific model, which includes the reading of one of the chapters of the book. There is also a reflection on narratives and fiction as resources for the divulgation and teaching-learning of sciences.

Título: Cuerpo, experiencia y performance actoral como vías de conocimiento
Autor(es): Dreidemie, Mónica
Abstract: The research presented here aims to legitimate the value of practice in the performing arts as a means of knowledge. To do this, it relies on theoretical foundations from different disciplinary fields that agree on pointing to the body, experience and performative practice as a mode of experiential, enactive and situated knowledge, that is, knowledge acquired in relation, in a framework. This involves non-verbal communication, empathy and intersubjectivity. In dialogue with embodied cognitive science, the thesis analyses the problems of contemporary theater theory and the implications of the cognitive turn in the production of the performing arts.

Abstract: This thesis analyzes the controversy generated by a residential development project in Perito Moreno mountain (El Bolsón, Río Negro, Argentina) near a ski center, which is a protected area5. The technologies involved, especially the ones for water management, and the scale of the project, have produced resistance in part of the population, who perceive that this residential development would have high environmental and socio-economic costs. However, the company that proposes it, and has been in charge of Perito Moreno ski-lifts concession since 2011, asserts that the ski-lift maintenance is not economically feasible unless it includes a real estate business to guarantee the improvements in the ski-lifts. It perceives this business as a residential development that keeps a “balance between the social, economic and ecologic growth”6 and it is supported by another sector of the population. This research was carried out from April 2010 (when the company buys the land for the residential development) to December 2013 (when the judge issues the prosecution of the authorities involved in the allocation of the land in question).
Due to the fact that a general theory to analyze environmental controversies still does not exist, different theories were triangulated. Taking the theoretical frame from the field of science, technology and society, approaches of social movements, contentious politics, risk society, risk perception and the controversial spaces model.
The representations and practices of the parts involved were investigated, in the construction of the controversy as well as in their change process, through documents analysis (the record, press media, technical reports from the companies and government organizations) and in depth interviews to key informants. A constructivist approach was taken, adopting the qualitative paradigm and the case study strategy. This thesis expects to contribute to the starting knowledge base on this topic, to serve as a reference for the actors involved and as input to elaborate and evaluate public policies about environmentally controversial projects.
