This chain faces structural challenges that limit its consolidation in terms of competitiveness and equity. This research aims to analyze the beekeeping value chain in the departments of Adolfo Alsina, Conesa, and Pichi Mahuida to determine the levels of competitiveness and equity among its actors, evaluating the barriers that hinder sustainable development. To this end, a research design was implemented based on semi-structured interviews directed at key stakeholders within the chain, as well as a digital survey. Data collection was complemented by the analysis of secondary sources and the application of systemic analysis tools to identify the chain’s links and their interrelationships, based on the chain analysis framework by Van Der Heyden et al. (2006). The diagnosis revealed that the chain suffers from marked fragmentation and a lack of stable critical mass, which weakens the bargaining power of the primary link. It is concluded that territorial strengthening and the pursuit of shared value are necessary conditions to promote a sustainable and more equitable beekeeping activity. Given the limited information that precedes this work guide the research to the early stages of buckwheat growth under different laboratory-generated environmental conditions. Five trials were developed. Four of them are in the germination stage, where the response of the seed to temperature variation, saline and water stress, and planting depth were evaluated. The last trial was carried out at the seedling stage and the response of the crop to different irrigation frequencies was studied. When evaluating different types of stress in the initial stages of the crop, we sought to gather useful information for possible situations to be found in the VIRN. In it, there is variability of soils, it is feasible to find sites with salinity and, a weight to contain of a quality water resource, an efficient use of it is necessary. Among the most outstanding results we can include the cultivation presenting germination percentages in a temperature range between 15 and 35 ° C. The optimum germination was identified at 30 ° C. In relation to saline stress, as the concentration of sodium chloride in the germination medium increased, their capacity and germination energy decreased. Likewise, it is important to highlight the tolerance to saline stress observed since, germination percentages of up to 80% were found with concentrations of 0.25 M. With regard to water stress during germination, simulated with polyethylene glycol, a decrease in the percentage of germination was observed from water potentials below -0.5 Mpa. The planting depth was relevant in establishing the seedlings of a crop. For the type of soil used in this work, the depth of 2 cm was identified as the optimum for sowing this crop. In general, variables such as: plant height, length and root dry matter were reduced with increasing planting depth. In the seedling irrigation frequency test, it was observed that more time-spaced irrigation showed a tendency to reduce morphometric variables (height,root length, number of leaves and leaf area). Under the experimental conditions, an optimal period of 4 days between irrigations was identified. The information found in these experiments is considered relevant to achieve optimal crop establishment and even interpret the effect of environmental conditions on the first stages of growth. These results provide references at the local and experimental level where the lack of information related to the cultivation of buckwheat was evidenced. The producers affirm that the difficulties are linked to management and correspond to mistakes caused by ignorance and lack of experience in this type of crops. The objective of the professional intervention work was to accompany and strengthen the productive and organizational capacities of the “Quinua Patagónica” (QP) group in the agro-ecological production of quinoa in the VIRN, during the 2017-2018 season on a surface area of less than half a hectare. This agricultural extension activity was approached from an intervention strategy based on the dialogue of knowledge (Freire, 1969), through participatory methodologies, in which the rural actors of the process are in charge of building and systematizing knowledge to consciously influence agricultural systems (Caporal & Costabeber, 2001; Guzmán, 2017). The participatory techniques used developed group processes of valorization of capacities and recognition of interests, limitations, expectations and needs that contributed to the construction of objectives and goals in the productive system. From the analysis of the fieldwork, is possible to interpret the positive influence of the rural intervention of the agronomist, for promoting and contributing to the collective construction of knowledge and tools that generated an increase in the level of internal organization of the group, as well as an advance in the assimilation of theoretical and practical foundations that guided the management of the crop and allowed obtaining yields close to 700-800 kg / ha. Therefore, feasibility of the agroecological production of this Andean species in the VIRN is demonstrated. On he other hand, the analysis of this experience interprets as the main weakness of the QP group the lack of its own physical space to carry out its project in the long term, so it is recommended to review aspects related to the right of access and tenure of the land for the development of new agro-ecological projects.
