Construcción de instituciones en ciencia y tecnología: Antecedentes y creación del Centro Científico-Tecnológico Patagonia Norte y del Instituto IPATEC

Abstract

This article explores trajectories of institutional creation in Northern Patagonia, Argentina, associated with CONICET and the National University of Comahue (UNCO) between 2006 and 2018. It addresses the creation of coordination and articulation institutions, such as the CONICET Scientific and Technological Centers of CONICET and the double affiliation Executing Units with universities. The trajectories of these different institutions and the interactions that led to the creation of an application and technology oriented institute at the Centro Regional Universitario de Bariloche (CRUB) of the Universidad Nacional del Comahue (UNCO) are analyzed. The approach is qualitative, using interviews and document analysis. The results have to do with the exploration of the phenomenon of the growth of institutions in Northern Patagonia and in a particular case the different negotiation process that took place to create the institutions associated to the interests of both parties.
