Narrativas sobre el pasado provincial: Río Negro en sus museos

Abstract

The following article presents a journey on the construction of the historical and identity representations of the Rio Negro provincial past based on the very varied museum exhibitions that are scattered throughout the provincial territory and are complemented by other cultural practices and assets that make up the regional cultural heritage.From the survey of the museums that are part of the Rio Negro cultural offer and in particular from the selection that we present in this article, different dimensions of museum institutions are addressed, such as the underlying heritage perspective; the chronologies proposed in the stories and narratives of the scripts; the link between nature and culture; the treatment of the indigenous legacy and the presentation of the Military Campaign of 1879, among others.
