Autor(es): Morales, Ariela Lilen
Abstract: Urolithiasis is the formation of mineral deposits in the urinary tract. Microscopic deposits
are called crystals, while macroscopic deposits, visible to the naked eye, are called
uroliths or stones. It is a common disorder in canine practice, accounting for
approximately 18% of veterinary consultations for lower urinary tract conditions.
A high genetic and breed predisposition to urolithiasis has been identified in Miniature
Schnauzers, Shih Tzus, Bichon Frises, Poodles, Yorkshire Terriers, and Dalmatians.
This paper presents a clinical case analysis of urolithiasis in a 12-year-old female
Schnauzer. The definitive diagnosis was made after complementary studies (ultrasound
and urinalysis). This case is unique in that the patient required repeated surgery due to
recurrences throughout her life.

Autor(es): Varela, Guadalupe
Abstract: The following work is focused on analyzing the Neuquen’s province juvenile penal institutions and their population from the year 2000 to 2024. In order to fulfill that goal, in-depth semi-estructured interviews with the institutions’ and judicial power staff specialized in children and adolescents will be taken.
Among the results, it’s necessary to highlight that the juvenile penal population represents a minimal percentage of the whole Argentinian penal population.
Particularly, Neuquen’s represents 0.3% of the one mentioned prior. In addition, contrary to what is spread through the media, 98.1% of the population taken into account is Argentinian. Lastly, that population represents less than 0.1% of the total of adolescents whose age is around 14 and 17 years old across the whole country.
In conclusion, the concept of access to rights rises as the way to provide a solid answer to the topic treated.

Autor(es): Aguirre, Florencia Ailén
Abstract: study aims to characterize the geological and structural evolution of the sector located between Ingeniero Jacobacci and the Anecón Grande area, approximately 80 km east of Ingeniero Jacobacci and near the town of Comallo, with emphasis on the Anecón Grande Volcanic Complex (CVAG), a unit previously assigned a Late Cretaceous-Paleogene age. The research focuses on reconstructing the magmatic and tectonic processes linked to the evolution of the northern Patagonian retroarc since the Late Cretaceous.
The methodology combined fieldwork, petrographic analysis, 3D photogrammetric modeling, and U-Pb zircon geochronology. Field activities included detailed mapping and description of CVAG outcrops, construction of a stratigraphic profile, and systematic sampling for laboratory analyses. Petrographic examination of thin sections, together with U-Pb zircon dating (64.77 ± 0.23 Ma), allowed the establishment of a Paleocene age for the CVAG and the characterization of its lithological evolution.
Geochronological and structural data indicate a geological evolution controlled by changes in subduction dynamics and by the reactivation of upper-crustal faults since the Late Cretaceous. These results support a tectonomagmatic evolutionary model for the northern Patagonian retroarc and highlight the Anecón Grande-Ingeniero Jacobacci area as a key sector for understanding the interaction between magmatism and deformation along the Andean margin.

Título: Distribución y caracterización petrográfica de las areniscas de la Formación Allen (Cretácico Superior) en la margen sur del río Negro y su comparación con las unidades infrayacentes del Grupo Neuquén
Autor(es): Morón, Lucía
Abstract: The present work analyzes the distribution and petrographic characterization of the
sandstones of the Allen Formation (Malargüe Group – Late Maastrichtian) in the eastern sector
of the Neuquén Basin, evaluating their potential as proppants and comparing them with the
Anacleto Formation (Neuquén Group – Middle Campanian). The significance of the Allen
Formation lies in its record of the first Atlantic transgression and its current strategic role as the
primary source of sand for hydraulic fracturing in the region.
The methodology integrated the survey of sedimentological logs at Puesto Zinelli and
Cantera YPF, the analysis of detrital modes through the Gazzi-Dickinson technique, and the
evaluation of textural parameters (sphericity, roundness, and sorting) under the API Standard
19C.
The results allowed for the reconstruction of a paleoenvironmental model suggesting an
evolution from fluvial channel systems (Anacleto Formation) to marine-marginal environments
(Allen Formation). A fundamental finding of this research is the absence of eolian facies in the
study area. Unlike previous regional interpretations, it is established that this absence is not due
to local paleorelief factors but to a clear chronostratigraphic distinction: the eolian and subaerial
exposure records documented in neighboring localities, such as Paso Córdoba, correspond to
the Anacleto Formation (Campanian), while the analyzed sections represent the advance of the
transgressive front of the Allen Formation during the Maastrichtian.
Petrographically, a dissected arc provenance was identified for both units, although the
Allen Formation is distinguished by an increase in acidic volcanic and sedimentary lithics. The
observed mineralogical stability, characterized by quartz abundance and a low proportion of
altered lithic components, suggests that these units possess favorable technical potential for
their application as proppants in the industry. Finally, the evaluation of sandstones as proppants
revealed high vertical textural heterogeneity at Cantera YPF, contrasting with the greater
homogeneity and consistent API standard compliance observed at Puesto Zinelli. These
contributions highlight the need for rigorous quality control and open perspectives for
identifying new sand beds with more uniform properties within the basin.

Abstract: This project was developed in the city of General Roca, Río Negro province, with the objective of proposing a design for a new Intermodal Bus Terminal. The initiative stems from an analysis of the existing terminal, whose location in the heart of the city generates numerous problems, compromising the efficiency of public transportation and affecting long-distance and intercity buses connecting the cities of the valley most significantly. The problem arises when these vehicles enter the city center to access the current terminal, causing delays and operational difficulties that impact mobility and the efficient development of public transportation. This project aims to facilitate regional connectivity, optimize travel times, and reduce congestion in the city center. The proposal is based on the design and planning of a new building in a strategically selected location, determined through a comprehensive urban analysis. This study considers infrastructural aspects, understanding the city's axes, urban growth trends, road connections, and the site's viability in order to guarantee an effective solution to the current problems. The new terminal will seek to optimize transportation operations, ensuring accessibility and efficiency in travel.

Abstract: This project stems from an understanding of the rapid and uncontrolled growth of the town of General Fernández Oro, which has resulted in a fragmented city and a significant decrease in productive land due to the intervention of the real estate and hydrocarbon sectors. This has jeopardized the livelihoods of thousands of people, as well as the cultural identity of the valley. In response to this problem, this project proposes an Institute for Agricultural Updating and Higher Education, providing support for new methods and technologies implemented in fruit farming practices, as well as addressing the growing demand for territorial expansion. It aims to satisfy the need for training and knowledge updates, and to foster sociocultural integration through the creation of a new neighborhood that extends the urban fabric while incorporating rural characteristics with numerous public spaces. This will promote sociocultural exchange through diverse community spaces and put an end to the town's irregular growth.

Abstract: The project, located in a large urban void on the plateau, aims to provide educational and sports infrastructure, giving identity to this area far removed from urban infrastructure. It includes the design of three levels of education—preschool, primary, and secondary—with sports as the central focus. Each level will have its own independent space within the site, while sports will serve as a common ground for all three. The goal is to create a comprehensive educational center in Centenario encompassing early childhood, primary, and secondary education, with a specific emphasis on implementing sports as a fundamental pillar for the physical, emotional, and social development of children and adolescents.

Título: Terminal aérea de pasajeros Ciudad de General Roca
Autor(es): Rodriguez Garelik, Juan Cruz
Abstract: General Roca is a city located in the heart of the Upper Valley of Río Negro, surrounded by orchards that line the valley floor. The fruit from this area is highly sought after, not only in the national market but also because a large portion of the production is exported. Fruit growing is the region's main economic activity. Within this context, the city's new passenger terminal will be developed. Building upon the existing airport infrastructure, the proposal includes a new building to serve as a commercial flight terminal and a shopping center that, in addition to being an attractive destination, will provide economic support for the airport's operation. This project will benefit not only the city of General Roca but the entire middle Upper Valley, allowing for an increase in the current flight flow and improved airport service and operations. The goal is to improve air connectivity throughout the Upper and Middle Valleys of Río Negro. To achieve this, the city's existing airstrip must be equipped with a building that, in addition to housing the necessary services and controls for commercial passenger traffic, will serve as a gateway to the city. Its architecture will reflect the region's distinctive characteristics, particularly those related to the plateau and its natural surroundings. Furthermore, a shopping center and gastronomic hub will offer an attractive destination not only for visitors but also for residents of the valley. The project will facilitate easy access to General Roca for many people, potentially serving as a catalyst for promoting both nature-based and production-related tourism activities that will boost the local and regional economy. From an urban planning perspective, it will increase property values in the area, improving the quality of life for residents and helping to prevent the concerning uneven and precarious growth of housing along the northern slope.

Abstract: This study evaluates the public health impact of the dog population in public circulation in Luis Beltrán, Río Negro, Argentina, using an integrated approach under the “One Health” concept. A stratified randomized sampling was carried out in 119 blocks and surveys were applied to 337 households to estimate the total canine population and collect data on community perception and ownership practices. The results estimated a total population of 3,437 dogs, with 1,392 in public circulation at the time of the count. The prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites such as Ancylostoma spp. was 48%, evidencing zoonotic risks. In addition, 58% of respondents considered the problem serious, highlighting education and responsible ownership as key mitigation strategies.
The findings underscore the need to implement public policies focused on animal welfare, the reduction of traffic accidents and the prevention of zoonotic diseases. This research constitutes a tool to strengthen public health through the harmonious coexistence between humans, animals and the environment.

Autor(es): Cardozo, María Laura
Abstract: The project proposes a rethinking of residential alternative care facilities for children and adolescents in the country, conceiving them not only as a temporary space but as a permanent one, a situation that reflects the reality that most children's stays can last for years.
Seeking to address the specific needs of each child, the facility is also designed to house adolescents experiencing pregnancy or early motherhood, promoting their autonomy along with a community life based on support and cooperation.
From an architectural perspective, understanding that the family environment is the ideal setting for the development of children and adolescents, the design seeks to replicate the scale of privacy found in a single-family home through private spaces (ME), spaces shared with a smaller group (MY CELL), and spaces shared with the household (MY COMMUNITY).

The building aims to foster holistic development, ensuring that children and adolescents are in the best possible situation upon leaving the facility. The objective is to create a residential facility in the city of Neuquén that provides housing for children and adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18 without parental care, with spaces that promote comprehensive child development.

Autor(es): Peletay Marticorena, Antonella Belen
Abstract: The Pilcaniyeu Batholith is a Jurassic plutonic body emplaced in the Patagonian Precordillera (Río Negro). The intrusion comprises three main facies: (1) a granodiorite facies intruded by monzodioritic dikes; (2) a syenogranite facies intruded by aplite–muscovite dikes; and (3) late rhyolitic dikes that cut all previously mentioned units. The country rock is attributed to schists and metatexites of the Cushamen Formation.
Among the numerous uncertainties surrounding this intrusive body, questions remain regarding its age and particularly its emplacement conditions. In this regard, Giacosa et al. (2001) proposed that the batholith would have been emplaced during the Early to Middle Jurassic under an extensional or transtensional tectonic regime within dilatational zones associated with the bending of the Río Chico and Pichileufú sinistral faults. However, until now, no structural data were available to support this model. This study demonstrates the potential of integrating igneous petrology, U-Pb zircon geochronology, and structural techniques such as AMS to precisely characterize the internal structure, age, and tectonic emplacement context of igneous suites.
Mineral fabrics (magmatic and solid-state) measured in the field are always parallel or subparallel to magnetic fabrics. In this sense, the granodiorite facies exhibits predominantly subhorizontal mineral fabrics, characterized by a subvertical minimum magnetic axis (K3) and a subhorizontal maximum axis (K1) striking NE–SW. The syenogranite facies displays predominantly subvertical fabrics striking NW–SE, with a subhorizontal maximum axis (K1) oriented NE–SW.
The LA-ICP-MS U-Pb zircon dating from the syenogranite facies yielded an age of 183.34 ± 0.84 Ma, corresponding to the Early Jurassic (Toarcian). This event is temporally concomitant with the Subcordilleran Batholith and with Stage V1 of the Chon Aike Silicic Large Igneous Province. The integration of structural, microstructural, and magnetic data allowed us to validate the emplacement model of the Pilcaniyeu Batholith as being associated with a transtensional tectonic regime, involving the development of pull-apart-type dilatational zones with an NE-SW–oriented extension direction. This emplacement style is linked to the evolution of a releasing bend between the Río Chico and Pichileufú sinistral faults.

Autor(es): Bohlmann, Tamara
Abstract: Patagonia is where I live. This final thesis will attempt to outline some approaches to the aesthetic representation/construction of this territory. It includes personal production as another way of thinking from the perspective of matter/immateriality, thus complementing the theoretical research. Palimpsests of Northern Patagonia explores and tests poetics that address the deconstruction of the category of landscape in relation to the northern Patagonian territory through a common expressive resource: video art. It aims to account for personal constructions in relation to this territory, both those of visual artists who live there and my own.
